Demonstrating Academic Excellence, 535 Students Named to Prestigious Assumption College Spring 2017 Dean's List
Assumption College has announced that 535 students have been named to the College's prestigious undergraduate Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester.
Husson University is pleased to share their Spring 2017 Dean's List. Students who earn Dean's List honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of between 3.60 to 3.79 during the period.
The following students have been selected for inclusion on the Dean's List for academic achievement during the Spring 2017 semester at St. Lawrence University.
Select students have been named to the Spring 2017 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.
In an outdoor ceremony May 21, 478 degrees were awarded to members of Colby's Class of 2017 at the College's 196th Commencement. Former Vice President Joe Biden told the graduates to help the nation return to basic principles of equality and dignity and to understand each other's stories to develop a deeper sense of humanity. Colby President David A. Greene handed a diploma to each of the graduates.

The graduates of Assumption's Class of 2017 made history on Sunday, May 14, as the College held its Centennial Commencement exercises at the DCU Center in downtown Worcester, in which speaker John L. Allen, Jr., editor of Crux, a publication that focuses on news of the Vatican and Catholic Church, delivered the Commencement address.
The following St. Lawrence University students were recently inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the national honor society for liberal arts and sciences undergraduates.
The purpose of this national honor society in psychology is to encourage, stimulate and maintain excellence in scholarship and to advance the science of psychology. Members must rank in the top 35 percent of the class, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in psychology courses. They must have completed at least three college semesters and nine credits of psychology courses and be enrolled in a program of study with strong psychological content.
Baccalaureate awards are presented to the graduating students in each baccalaureate program who are selected by the faculty for their interest and excellence within the major. Recipients must be full-time students and have completed at least 50 percent of their credits for graduation while attending Colby-Sawyer.
Internships are field experiences designed to provide a student learning opportunity under collaborative supervision between Colby-Sawyer College faculty, staff, and work site professionals. Internships offer the opportunity for students to enhance their academic programs with work experience related to career interests in all industry areas in national and international settings.

Hutnak has enjoyed an impressive first season with the Spartans. The rookie standout finished the conference regular season in the top-10 in assists (4, T5th), points (16, T7th), and goals (6, T9th). She recorded an eight-point performance against Lyndon, netting a hat-trick and tallying two helpers. The freshman started the season as a top reserve, but finished as a key starter. She missed time due to injury, but was able to score a crucial goal in her first game back from injury, a 2-2 tie with Husson.
Bucknell University has released the dean's list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2016-17 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.
